Description: A general purpose interface board for Mircromint's Answer Man Junior. Jumpers select one of three communication interfaces (RS-232, RS-485, or fiber optic RS-232). 12 bit ADCs and DACs are added for higher precision AD conversions. Answer Man Junior is included with the board. Channels: 8 x bi-directional digital lines, 4 x 8 bit ADCs, 2 x 12 bit ADCs, 2 x 12 bit DACs. Special Features: LabVIEW driver included. Power Req.: + 5Vdc or higher (on-board regulator) via plug-in terminal strip. I/O Interface: Plug-in terminal strips or ribbon cable interface for digital I/O and analog I/O. Plug-in terminal strips for RS-232, RS-485, and power signals. HP Versatile Link fiber optic transmitter/receiver pair for fiber optic RS-232. Physical: Approximately 4.0" X 4.0". Mounting: Stand-offs. Accessories: An Inexpensive RS-232 to Fiber Optic Converter can be used on the computer end if fiber optic RS-232 is the desired communication protocol. |
